How can I make a Legacy Gift?

 

Listed below are a variety of ways to make a Legacy Gift. Your financial adviser can help you choose the best way to make a gift and fulfill your personal, philanthropic, and financial goals.

 

  • Make a bequest through your will
  • Designate life insurance proceeds
  • Name United Way of Northeast Florida as a beneficiary in your retirement plan
  • Design a trust-based gift
  • Create a charitable gift annuity
  • Give an outright gift, such as cash, check, or other donation, to United Way’s endowment fund
  • Make a monetary contribution or provide gifts such as securities, real estate or other assets today for investment into United Way of Northeast Florida’s endowment.

 

The Legacy Society

The Legacy Society is comprised of donors who have made an outright gift (a cash, check or other donation given before estate settlement proceedings) to United Way’s endowment or included United Way in their will or estate plans. Their commitment to our community extends far beyond the needs of this year, decade or generation. To become a Legacy Society Member, United Way of Northeast Florida must receive from you a signed letter of intent for your gift. Gifts of $200,000 or more qualify you as a Tocqueville Legacy Society Member.
