United Way CEO shares important message before Hurricane Irma

September 7, 2017

Hurricane-Irma-Flag_instaBy Michelle Braun, President and CEO
United Way of Northeast Florida

As our community keeps an eye on Irma, we wish you, your family and teams a safe weekend as we prepare for the worst and hope for the best through the storm.

EMERGENCY RESOURCES
We updated our website with the latest emergency-resources information that can help you weather the storm. Please bookmark unitedwaynefl.org/emergency.

In addition, our FREE 2-1-1 hotline is available 24/7, as always, to connect you to critical disaster-relief resources.

FLORIDA’S FIRST COAST RELIEF FUND
As during Matthew last year, we stand ready with our partners to activate Florida’s First Coast Relief Fund, if the need arises. We will keep you posted on when or if we decide to activate the fund for Irma and how you can help. This strategic partnership will once again enable the community to respond more rapidly to where support is needed most.

THANK YOU
Change doesn’t happen alone, and it’s times like these that banding together is even more important. As we prepare for Hurricane Irma, we think about immediate effects and needs, of course, but we also think about people in need every day across Northeast Florida.

Thank you for supporting United Way and our partners. We wish you and your family a safe ride through the storm.

Again, please dial 2-1-1 anytime to be connected to critical storm resources.

Stay safe,

Michelle
