United Way’s FREE 2-1-1 Helpline

IMPORTANT 2-1-1 UPDATE: If cell signal becomes too weak for 2-1-1 calls, our friends at United Way Worldwide set up a text option. Text “Irma” to 898-211 for storm info.

2-1-1 is the easy to remember, three-digit telephone number that connects Northeast Florida callers to health, social and human services and more than 4,000 community programs. This community help resource is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and provides information to callers in Duval, St. Johns, Clay, Nassau, Baker, Putnam, Columbia, Suwannee and Hamilton counties. Dial 904-632-0600 to access a United Way 2-1-1 call center specialist.

2-1-1 staff will be equipped with shelter information and more, as information is available. To contact 2-1-1:

  • Dial 2-1-1 from any land line or cell phone
  • Dial 1-904-632-0600 from any land line or cell phone
