Employee Engagement Toolkit

Wells Fargo employees at a volunteer project

With a variety of options available for groups, United Way can help connect your employee teams to meaningful volunteer experiences that will engage and inspire. Whether you have an hour or an afternoon, our Volunteer and Community Engagement office is available to provide you with a quality experience that impacts lives.

Volunteer Calendars

We’ve worked with our partners in youth success, financial stability and health to preschedule a variety of projects to meet a range of group sizes and interests. It’s easier than ever for your team to get involved!

We also believe it’s important to provide access for nonprofits to recruit volunteers and to help individuals connect to community efforts. Check out the community-wide project calendar for additional opportunities across Northeast Florida.

Customized Volunteer Projects

If a prescheduled volunteer project doesn’t meet your team’s needs, United Way can still customize a project based around your availability and group size. No time to leave the office? We can also help organize an on-site project for your employees to give back.

Customized projects will require a fee to cover the cost of materials as determined by project type and group size.

Annual Events

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

Celebrate the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in January. Join hundreds of other volunteers to help strengthen communities in Northeast Florida. The service day includes volunteer activities focused on peace, neighborhood revitalization and improving financial stability within our urban core communities. United Way of Northeast Florida’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service is generously sponsored by Wells Fargo. For more information, please contact us.

Achievers For Life Celebration

Each May, we celebrate the hard work of students and families that are part of our Achievers For Life dropout prevention initiative with an after-school field day full of music, food and fun. Volunteers play games and help run booths during the event. For sponsorship or general information, please contact us.

Hometown Huddle

United Way of Northeast Florida and the Jacksonville Jaguars will join together with over 200 volunteers to make an impact in the New Town community. The indoor and outdoor community service projects will focus on healthy living among children and their families while also providing food resources to benefit the entire community.
